From the recording … Flying
Luisa: Wrote this one in the shower. Sang the chorus to Frankie and he said "Now that's a song!" which I tried to take as a great compliment rather than an insult to all the previous ditty's I wrote. This was the first song of mine we ever played live.
Lyrics
L. Tanno
I heard him say that he was leaving
And it took some time to get what he meant
It’s not as if he’s packing his bags
And heading on a trip saying he’ll be back
No, this has nothing to do with geography
He’s not leaving town no, he’s leaving me
I think I’ll take that personally
He’s not leaving town, no he’s leaving me
Oh I’ll be fine…Eventually
It only took threes days of crying
Friends say I’m better off anyway
But I know they’re lying
What happened to the guy they said
Was a winner, a keeper, I could not do better
How quickly it seems they’ve changed their tune
He’s not leaving town no, he’s leaving me
I think I’ll take that personally
He’s not leaving town, no he’s leaving me
Oh I’ll be fine…Eventually
Most hours of the day go by
It only really hurts
After eight o’clock at night
He’s not leaving town no, he’s leaving me
I think I’ll take that personally
He’s not leaving town, no he’s leaving me
Oh I’ll be fine…Eventually
