From the recording … Flying
Frank: Learned how to sing harmony (before I even knew what the word meant) from The Beatles. Their early, two (and three) part harmonies still give me chills whenever I hear them. Used to have a blast sitting around with my old friend and bandmate Joe Pirolo singing these tunes. Decided to try to write an original song for myself and Joe in that early Beatle style and this is what came out. Years later, turned it over to Luisa and Mo, changed all the pronouns from feminine to masculine, and they made it their own.
Lyrics
F. Veres
He shines like the brightest star up in the sky
At night and I will follow him
This time I will never stop until
He’s mine so I will follow him
Now I don’t claim to need that boy
I’ve come this far on my own
But I’m not ashamed to need that boy
He’s like no one I’ve known
So I’ll try to convince him now that
we can fly away to anywhere
Now I don’t claim to need that boy
I’ve come this far on my own
But I’m not ashamed to need that boy
He’s like no one I’ve known
He shines like the brightest star up in the sky
At night and I will follow him
